The demands of a shifting landscape are adaptability, stamina, and vision. I’ll let you guess which of those two I don’t have in particularly large supply. I know that marketing in the age of dynamic social media isn’t easy, although much of the incumbent technology was meant to make our lives easier, and I know I’m late to the party, so-to-speak. In my defense I am apt to point out that later is oftentimes better than never. (Yes, now we’re using clichés)

All right, so we’re on Twitter, the Gram, and Facebook, now. Could I have shortened that up? I possess the necessary literary abilities, yes. I am not entirely sure how you make all this “go” as they say, but I imagine it goes without saying that my aptitudes are better suited to other fancies, and, in time, I may become much better at marketing to my fellow Spokane dwellers. (See there, I used and SEO keyword)

I suppose it does bother me that so much of our internal psychological composition has been instantiated on the web that we now have underlying mechanics that manipulate what we see and hear on a moment-to-moment basis. There’s this gargantuan framework beneath all the content we consume that essentially passively directs it toward or away from you based on the subtlest action or gesture. And in order to get a hold of a sliver of that action, content creators have to participate in that manipulation. It almost seems surreal that these man-made systems are only passively interacted with by the consuming public; but that really isn’t any different from drinking water from a tap which is produced by an essentially invisible (to you) infrastructure that delivers the final product of clean water.

Ok, well now that I’m cleansed of that, let me implore you to check out my new pages, Spokane. We’re writers for hire, we’re here, and we want to help you.
